Robert Horna is a respected and recognized soloist and chamber musician, and is ranked among the top Polish classical guitarists. He is a graduate of the Academy of Music in Wroclaw in Prof. Piotr Zaleski’s guitar class and the Conservatory of Music in Enschede, the Netherlands. He also studied jazz with the eminent Polish guitarist Artur Lesicki.
His concert travels have taken him through almost all of Europe and South America. He regularly conducts master classes and sits on the jury of international guitar festivals and competitions. Robert Horna gives concerts as a soloist, chamber musician and performs concerts accompanied by symphony orchestras. His extensive repertoire includes works of early music, works by classical composers, contemporary compositions and his musical interests span a variety of styles.
Robert Horna has four albums to his credit: „Milonga del Angel” (CD Accord 2000) , „Las Cuatro Estaciones Porteñas” (CD Accord 2005), „Baroque Suites” (2009), „Sambalanco”(2017 Wroclaw Guitar Society) recorded with Krzysztof Pełech. He is the author of arrangements and transcriptions for guitar, appreciated by both the guitar community and music critics.
Since 2013, he has been teaching a guitar class at the S. Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdansk.
